3 Supplemental hours are included in the fee in addition to the instructional hours. The class is 1 hour in duration, once a week, with 3 supplemental hours also included.
This class is designed to provide a thorough understanding of the core of public speaking, thoughtful and logical construction of written speech, research techniques, understanding parts of speech, and building confidence in delivering speech. Students will choose their topics at this camp and develop five to seven-minute speeches. They will learn speaking techniques while also practicing for their speeches. You'll also become familiar with the different styles and formats for competitive high school speech competitions. Students will also learn how to do impromptu speeches in the curriculum. Students interested in an Impromptu speech will have seven minutes to select a topic, brainstorm their ideas, outline the speech, and deliver it without notes. Five enrollments are required, with a maximum of 10 students in the class. Supplemental hours (two hours) will also be available in addition to instructional hours for tournament prep. Weekly homework is assigned. Students will be exposed to tournaments (Optional). No class during Spring break Mar 31-April 6.

This is a group class, a minimum of five students is required to start the program. We also offer one-on-one coaching; different rates apply.

Cancelation/Refund Policy: The prorated process applies if the student withdraws before the last session of the program. This will be calculated based on the number of weeks students attended the sessions during the semester. Movement within the classes is allowed if space is available.
Payment:
The first installment is due when signing up for the program. The second installment is due 30 days after the program starts, and the final and third installment is due 60 days after the program begins. By registering your child in the program, you also agree to follow the payment policy and pay by the due date.
