In-Person Introduction to Competitive Speech

Grade 6-12

In-Person MTN HouseOne Week Camp (Mon-Fri). 1.5 Hours each day.


Friday will be a longer session (2 hours). Total 8 Hours of Instruction in a week.


Immerse yourself in a comprehensive learning experience at this introductory competitive speech camp! No prior formal experience is required. This camp is designed to provide a thorough understanding of the core of public speaking, thoughtful and logical construction of written speech, research techniques, understanding parts of speech, and building confidence in delivering speech. At this camp, students will choose their topics and develop seven to ten-minute speeches. You'll also become familiar with the different styles and formats for competitive high school speech competitions. Daily sessions will cover speech structure, components of effective public speaking, brainstorming, research, persuasive speech writing, and various in-class activities. By the end of the camp, students will deliver their speeches and showcase their enhanced public speaking skills.

Cancelation/Refund Policy: Refunds will only be provided if the session is canceled more than five days before the start of camp. No refund will be provided if canceled within five days from the start of the camp. Rescheduling is allowed, subject to the availability of the camp dates.
